Dr. Adamson is the CEO of A Simple Smile, a Navy veteran, and a general dentist working in private practice in Michigan. While living and working in Senegal in 2010, she recognized the need for better access to basic oral healthcare. Dr. Adamson co-founded this organization to improve access to quality oral healthcare through community education and partnerships with local healthcare providers.

Dr. Sembene is a General Dentist, co-founder of A Simple Smile, and former Dean of the dental school at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Senegal. He remains well-connected within the dental communities both in Senegal and the U.S.

Dr. Sembene is responsible for coordinating partnerships between A Simple Smile and local organizations in Senegal.

Assane Sene was born and raised in Saint Louis, Senegal and moved to the U.S. in 2006 to continue his education. He currently teaches French and coaches basketball at The Darrow School in NY state. Assane is passionate about using his connections in his home country to cultivate partnerships that advance A Simple Smile Org's mission and ultimately give back to his community.

Matt Bullard is a 2012 graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point and veteran Naval Flight Officer with 8 years of active duty service. His career included 5 deployments spanning from the Persian Gulf to the Pacific, living in Japan, and flying off of aircraft carriers. In 2020 Matt decided to hang-up his flight suit in order to help fulfill Anne’s dream of owning a dental practice and pursue his own passions. 

Chief of the Ministry of Education's School Medical Control Division. Dr. Dia is responsible for relations between the Ministry of Education and medical inspection of schools in Senegal, specifically in regards to educational programs and the provisioning of resources to ensure the health of students in Senegal.

Derek Nelson is the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Stryker's Orthopedic Instruments and Surgical Technologies. Derek attended his first humanitarian mission with A Simple Smile in 2018 with his wife Dr. Catherine Nelson, DDS. His work with our organization ties together his love of humanitarian work and passion for marketing.
